Panaji: In a major reshuffle in the Town and Country Planning (TCP) department, 11 town planners and deputy town planners were transferred on Wednesday. The transfers come after TCP minister Vishwajit Rane promised to shake up the functioning of the department to make it more transparent and citizen friendly.
Rane has appointed S M Bayakod, who retires on April 30, as the chief town planner (land use) at headquarters, Panaji.
Town planner Vinod Kumar Chandra has been appointed as the member secretary, South Goa Planning and Development Authority.
Deputy town planner Sampurna Bhagat has been deputed to the Goa Industrial Development Corporation and Goa RERA.
Town planner R M Borkar has been appointed as the senior town planner at South Goa district office, Vertika Dagur has been appointed as the senior town planner at Mapusa with additional charge at the headquarters.
