IMD issues yellow alert for rain tomorrow

Panaji: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for April 21, warning of isolated light rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds in the state. Light rainfall or thundershowers are likely during late afternoon or evening hours on both April 20 and 21. These conditions may be accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40kmph at isolated locations.

Despite the expected rainfall, no change in temperatures is forecast over the next week.

Day time temperatures are expected between 33°C and 35°C, and between 24°C and 26°C at night.

Relative humidity levels will remain high, with minimum humidity around 50-60% and maximum humidity between 80% and 90%.
