Event to discuss evolution of Goan food in 21st century
PANAJI: Tracing the evolution of traditional food in modern day Goa through talks with four trailblazers with unique perspectives in the local food eco-system, Goa Chitra Ethnographic Museum in association with The Goan Bucket-List will be conducting several discourses on cuisine.
The event ‘Amchem Jevonn’ will feature a discussion centered around the evolution of traditional Goan food in the 21st century.

Speaking about various aspects of Goan food will be photographer, Assavri Kulkarni who will speak about her versatile explorations of food through local markets, digital as well as multiple cultural lenses; Avinash Martin, a creative chef who has trained under various Michelin starred chefs across the world will talk about his experiments with fusion cuisine – presenting local flavors in global styles.
Shubhra Shankhwalker, a pioneering chef will talk about the nuances of home-style Saraswat cuisine and leveraging modern day pop-ups and digital platforms to create awareness and market for the same. Food and media specialist, Cecil De Melo, will talk about how packaged product bring Goan flavors to the world platter and co-launch Martin Melo Flavourz, authentic and beautifully packaged best-selling Goan masalas and other products.
