Goa: Erratic water supply irks Canacona locals

CANACONA: Congress Canacona candidate Janardhan Bhandari along with Goa Forward Party spokesperson Prashant Naik confronted PWD (water supply) assistant engineer Santosh Prabhudesai over erratic water supply in various parts of Canacona taluka, especially during the past fortnight. They asked the engineer to furnish reasons over the irregular water supply.
Bhandari held the engineer responsible for the lapse and demanded that the supply should regularise immediately.
The Congress candidate said that during door-to-door canvassing, several residents of different places complained that they were not getting proper water supply.
Others who accompanied Bhandari and Naik included Congress Canacona chief Pralhay Bhagat, Shristhal sarpanch Ramu Dhillon Naik, Canacona Congress Mahila president Ursula De Costa and some residents.
