PANAJI: Elvis Sequeira's tiatr "Nimnno Podd'ddo" focuses on relationships and their developments within and outside the family.
As a blessing in disguise, Jane (Carmin), who is childless, traces an abandoned child at her doorstep. She decides to adopt it with the support of her husband David (Antush). When this decision is in progress, Jane gives birth to her first boy child, but unfortunately passes away soon after delivery.
1x1 polls
To bring up an adopted child and one of his own single-handedly is a big responsibility, contemplates David. He is in a fix and does not know how to go about this tensed situation. Meera (Carmin) drops in and offers to serve as a maid. Thinking about the future of the two kids, she suggests that David should go in for second marriage. Finally, Meera ties the knot with David and shoulders the dual responsibility of caring for the adopted son Aaron (Neville) and Nesh (Elvis).
Aaron, who shows no interest in his father's business, falls in love with a poor lass Abigail (Crostina). David blindly opposes this relationship. After timely treatment, Nesh recovers from a defective heart and David gets him married to Abigail.
Seeking support from his mom, Aaron decides to put Nesh and Abigail in trouble. Ultimately, who triumphs and who faces a humiliating defeat is worth a watch during the second half of the drama.
Carmin has handled her double role quite confidently and with ease. She has been ably supported by Antush, Neville and Elvis. Inas, Lambu (Marcus), Katy (Betty) and Jose de Velim ensure laughter. Songs by professional singers deliver good messages. The band comprising Newton (first trumpet), Tony (second trumpet), Wilbur (bass), Norman Cardozo (keyboard) and Joaquim (drums) provides good music, besides the background. Stage sets are by Saldanha and the lighting is by Anthony de Ambajim.
