The notification of the Arpora-Nagoa-Parra ODP- 2030 is the culmination of a two-year-long exercise that began with the adoption of the land use map and register for the Arpora-Nagoa-Parra planning area. After the NGPDA adopted the land use map and register in December 2018, it moved to draft the ODP- 2030 last July.
“The ODP- 2030 of the Arpora-Nagoa-Parra planning area was submitted to the government on July 6 for approval that was granted on July 7. The NGPDA, in exercise of its powers, notifies the coming into operation of ODP,” said NGPDA member-secretary Rajinder Pandita in a public notice.
The draft ODP was placed before the town and country planning (TCP) board on July 29 last year and had received provisional approval. The state government also approved the draft ODP-2030 for Arpora-Nagoa-Parra and had given people 60 days to voice their objections and suggestions.
“After inspecting the sites and hearing the objections received, the committee constituted by the NGPDA considered the same and submitted its report to the authority, and after taking necessary decisions, unanimously approved the ODP-2030,” said Pandita.
The plan will be subject to The Goa Land Development and Building Regulation, 2010, and any future amendments.
