3 women caught stealing from Porvorim house

PANAJI: Three sisters-in-law were caught red-handed by Porvorim police while attempting to steal from a house in Alto Porvorim on Tuesday. Mapusa residents Sharda, Sunita and Sharada Lamani were found inside the house of Cedric Silveira, at around 4pm, police said. The three women, believed to be natives of Karnataka, had broken into Silveira's house, located behind Holy Family Church.
In another break-in, PDA colony resident Mita Vijay Bachani has registered a complaint with Porvorim police after she found that 21,000 in cash and some credit cards were missing from her residence during the night. Miscreants had broke open the window grills.
