Ghaziabad: A 40-year-old man was shot at by two assailants at a local market in Indirapuram on Tuesday. The injured man has been admitted for treatment in Delhi. A case has been registered against the accused, police said.
Raza Khan is from Sahibabad, according to cops. He was riding a two-wheeler with a woman at the time of the incident.
“The police were informed about the incident on Tuesday afternoon.
A team from the Indirapuram station rushed to Budh Chowk. There, the officials found that the attackers were wearing helmets,” said Swatantra Singh, ACP Indirapuram.
“Khan was taken to Fortis Hospital in Delhi for treatment,” the ACP added.
“The routine investigation indicates that Khan was allegedly in a relationship with the woman riding with him during the incident. Her brother, however, disapproved of their relationship and allegedly knew that the two often travelled through Budh Chowk,” said an officer.
A case under IPC section 307(attempt to murder) has been registered against the accused.
