6 months after divorce, UP man jumps to death from 15-storey building
GHAZIABAD: A 40-year-old man allegedly jumped to his death either from the terrace or a balcony of a 15-storey building at a society in Raj Nagar Extension.Police said his body was first spotted around 9.15am by the security guard at tower E of Blue Moon society. He raised an alarm andt the police were informed. A team reached the spot and took the body to a nearby hospital.ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmad said the man was a logistics manager at a Dubai-based company in Noida. He had been living with his parents in an apartment on the 12th floor of tower C of the same society.Around 9am on Monday, he went to the basement and apparently left for work. “However, he parked his car at the tower E basement and went to the terrace using a lift,” the ACP said. “The tower has 15 floors and there aren’t enough CCTV cameras. It is not clear if he jumped off the terrace or from the balcony of any other floor.”“We have not received any written complaint in the matter. We are checking his call details,” he said.The man got married about five years ago but he separated from his wife for the past three years. His father said the couple’s divorce had been finalised six months ago.His family members and acquaintances said he remained engaged in work usually, but for some time, his mental health had been causing concerns. His father said he was depressed and despite repeated requests from his parents to marry agian, he had refused to do so.
