NEW DELHI: “Managing people is a big challenge. Half the population of India is below 25 years of age. It is a great advantage, but you have to give it the right channel, education and values. That will decide which way the country goes,” said Jitin Prasada, minister of state, human resource development. He was addressing the inaugural session of the HR Strategy Summit organized by TOI and JIMS on Wednesday.

Setting the agenda of the meet with the topic “analyzing growth by exploring new frontiers”, Manish Gupta, chairman, JIMS presented the opening remarks. D Shivakumar, ex-head of emerging markets, Nokia, gave the keynote address, while Dr T V Rao, chairman, TVRLS, Ahmedabad delivered the special address.
Prasada also launched a coffee table book “Educators” by TOI, which is a compilation of profiles of 16 private institutions in the NCR, discussing the role of private educators in creating an education cluster.
