Over 1.89 crore devotees take holy dip at Triveni Sangam today
Over 3.29 crore devotees have already taken a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj, with 1.74 crore on Sunday and 1.55 crore on Monday, as the Mauni Amavasya snan on January 29 approaches. In response to accommodation shortages, many pilgrims have converted mini trucks and trolleys into makeshift shelters, complete with bedding, blankets, and rations, near temporary toilets. Due to the massive influx of pilgrims, the Allahabad High Court will remain closed from January 28 to 30, and Varanasi schools up to class 12 have shifted to online classes until February 5. Additionally, celebrities Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were spotted in Prayagraj, dressed in saffron and navigating the excited crowds. Stay with TOI for live updates
