NEW DELHI: A ceremonial farewell parade was held on Thursday morning at Kingsway Camp Parade Ground, New Police Lines, for Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, who is due to retire on 31 July 2025.
Arora, a 1988-batch IPS officer from the Tamil Nadu cadre, took charge as Delhi Police Commissioner on 1 August 2022.
He has served in several key roles in Tamil Nadu, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and other central forces.
The Delhi government had earlier issued a notification confirming his superannuation at the end of July.
The farewell parade included a formal march, a speech by Arora, and the symbolic handover of charge, as part of the tradition followed for outgoing police commissioners.
