NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested former Bihar chief minister Lalu Yadav's close aide Subhash Yadav in a money laundering case involving illegal sand mining.
ED on Saturday carried out seraches at multiple locations linked to Yadav in Patna and Jharkhand.
He was produced before a court and was sent to judicial custody, news agency ANI reported.
The ED sleuths searched Yadav’s premises at Danapur and Maner in Patna district as well as his office on Boring Road. Searches were also conducted at Yadav’s locations in Ranchi. Yadav is a member of the party’s national committee. He is politically active in Jharkhand. In 2019, Yadav had unsuccessfully contested from Chatra Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand.
