Republic Day violence: Posting video was his mistake, says Deep Sidhu's lawyer

NEW DELHI: The lawyer of the actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, accused of instigating violence in Delhi during the farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day, said he was not indulged in a single act of violence."Deep Sidhu was not indulged in a single act of violence. He had left even before violence erupted," the lawyer told a Delhi court on Thursday."He had just posted a video, that was his mistake. Every mistake is not a crime," the lawyer said during the hearing of Sidhu's bail application."Media named him as the main accused just because he had posted a video. He was levelled by the media as the chief conspirator, I don't know why?" he added.(With inputs from ANI)
