NEW DELHI: Former Delhi chief minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday lauded the Indian armed forces and soldiers for carrying out precision missile strikes inside mainland Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor.
The early-Wednesday operation was carried out on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base Muridke in retaliation of April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
The military strikes were carried out under 'Operation Sindoor' two weeks after the massacre of 26 civilians in Pahalgam.
"We are proud of the Indian armed forces and our brave soldiers. In this fight against terrorism, 140 crore Indians stand with the forces. The courage of our forces is the faith of every citizen. We are all together—united against terrorism. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat," Kejriwal posted on X.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defence, in its statement, said, "A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'OPERATION SINDOOR', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."
