NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man died after a fire broke out in a bus in west Delhi’s Vikaspuri area in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased has been identified as
Sunil Sharma, who worked as a cleaner and helper on the bus.
According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call about the fire was received at around 12.33 am. Three fire tenders, along with around 15 firefighters, were immediately dispatched to the spot. By the time the firefighters reached the location, the bus was already engulfed in flames.
The blaze was brought under control by 1.50 am. During the operation, Sharma’s charred body was found inside the bus.
Probe is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
