Multiple schools receive bomb hoax threat

New Delhi: Four days after a series of hoax bomb threat emails rattled schools in the capital, several institutions were again targeted on Friday morning.The fire department received information about a threat at BD Tamil Education Association School in Jhandewalan. Police teams were sent to the spot to carry out security checks. Principal Dr Seema said, "Around 8.30am, the school clerk saw a bomb threat email and informed the school administration. The premises were evacuated by telling students it was a mock drill and clearing the entire ground. However, it was the first day of home exams for Class 9 and 10 students, and the call came at the same time."
Soon after, similar threat emails were reported from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (SPV) and The British School in New Delhi and Ahlcon Public School in east Delhi, among others. Ramjas Public School, Springdales, Delhi Public School in south west Delhi's RK Puram also received these threats. The email contained extremist slogans and violent threats, including references to attacks on school buses and warnings of blasts.Authorities said security sweeps were launched at all affected campuses. Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed, and students were shifted to safe areas while teams conducted inspections of classrooms and buildings.Officials said no suspicious objects had been found so far.
