MCD Swachhata drive from Sept 14

New Delhi: MCD will launch the "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign from Sept 14 to Oct 1 in all zones. Sanitation-related activities will be carried out.According to officials, ‘Sampoorna Swachhata' through Shramdaan — mega cleanliness drives and time-bound transformation of difficult and dirty spots — will be achieved through volunteerism and partnership mobilisation.Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs and preventive health checkups will be organised, linking with various welfare schemes of Central and State govt."In preparation for this programme, all zones will prepare an action plan. The plan will encompass the three key components of the campaign, ensuring the involvement of all zonal departments and all public representatives," said an official.
