NEW DELHI: Delhi experienced a minimum temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The agency forecasted the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain throughout the day. Despite the absence of rainfall in the preceding 24 hours, the humidity level stood at 53 per cent at 8.30am.

The IMD anticipates that the maximum temperature will hover around 38 degrees Celsius, with the likelihood of thunderstorms and rain persisting during the day.

According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was classified as "moderate" at 9am, with a reading of 198.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 "satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", and 401 and 500 "severe".
