Delhi Traffic police issues advisory ahead of Samvidhan Divas Padyatra; check which routes to avoid

Delhi is gearing up for a massive Constitution Day march, with an expected 10,000 participants set to walk from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium to India Gate and back on Monday morning. The Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory warning commuters of potential delays and suggesting alternate routes.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the nationwide Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day) Padyatra on Monday, which is expected to draw around 10,000 participants to central Delhi.
The event will commence at 8 am from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium near India Gate and conclude at the same location by 9.30 am.
Commuters are advised to avoid key routes including Tilak Marg, Ashoka Road, Shahjahan Road, C-Hexagon, Zakir Hussain Marg, and Akbar Road up to Gol Methi roundabout. The advisory also suggests avoiding the Pragati Maidan tunnels approaching India Gate. Traffic diversions will be implemented at multiple points. No parking or halting will be allowed on C-Hexagon and surrounding areas.
