NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old labourer was stabbed to death by a man over a monetary dispute at a market in southeast Delhi's Dakshinpuri on Tuesday. The man has been detained for questioning.

He then stabbed Raju on the abdomen and thighs.
A video taken by a bystander from his cellphone shows Raju lying on the road and calling for help, even as a dozen people and the area beat constable surround him. "The video was taken immediately after the incident had happened and the policeman seen in it is a beat constable who informed the PCR and called the ambulance. The man was taken to AIIMS Trauma Center where he unfortunately succumbed to the injury," a senior police official said. Doctors said Raju had succumbed to excessive bleeding from his wounds.
Locals told the cops that Raju and Ashu were drug addicts and often fought over petty issues. Ashu had recently given some money to Raju and had been asking for it for the past few days. Ashu was detained for questioning on Tuesday night.
Police said that both the youths were school dropouts who worked as part time labourers at the Madangir market.
The cops said that they have not ruled out the possibility of the two youths being part of gangs which commit petty crimes.
