In the Class X exams, the pass percentage was 90.4%, slightly below the national overall pass percentage of 93.6%.
Countrywide, 305 children with disability scored above 90% in the Class XII exams.

This was a decline from 2023 when 5,757 students had registered, 5,645 appeared, and 4,924 had cleared the exams.
During the pandemic, the 2021 examination saw an impressive pass percentage of 99.6% among students with disability.
From Delhi, 1,665 candidates appeared for the exams, which was the highest among all the 17 regions. Delhi East reported a pass percentage of 92.93%, with 1,047 candidates appearing for the examination. Delhi West recorded an 88.5% pass percentage with 618 candidates. Overall, 67 students with disability in Class 12 scored more than 90% and 56 in Class X crossed 90% in their scores.
Madhav Sharan, a student at Amity International School in Pushp Vihar, expressed joy at achieving a score of 93% in his examinations, acknowledging the support he got from the school faculty and special educators.
Madhav’s family, in a conversation with TOI, said that after his Class X board exams in August 2021, he suffered a severe hyper-dense brain haemorrhage.
This resulted in a limb disability and impacted approximately one-third of his brain, adversely affecting his speech, comprehension, arithmetic and writing skills. “I put around 8-10 hours every day into my studies, just before my exams.... If one decides to put in the hard work and determination, one can do anything,” he said.
