A proposal seeking an inquiry in this regard has also been moved for the President's approval, they added.
Meanwhile, Shah denied the allegations against him and said he was "prepared to face any inquiry".
"The allegations of financial and administrative irregularities are untrue and have been designed to sully my image by vested interests", the AMU VC told .
"I am however fully prepared to face any such inquiry if and when it is instituted," he added.
Asked whether he felt the NDA government was targeting him for championing the cause of the university’s minority character, the VC denied it. "The charges against me are being levelled by some vested interests to jeopardise and prejudice the ongoing case against my appointment in the apex court," he said. ADS RT
