New Delhi: A head constable was injured after being hit by a vehicle during a late-night patrol in Mandir Marg in Delhi.The incident happened on April 13 around 11 pm. Head constable Mahender, along with constable Dipesh, had noticed a black car parked suspiciously on Vande Matram road near Hanuman Mandir. When Mahender approached the driver to question the stoppage on a busy road, the driver appeared nervous and quickly drove away towards Dhaula Kuan.The police team pursued the vehicle on motorcycle. Near Shankar Chowk, the driver, while trying to flee, struck the police motorcycle. The collision caused the motorcycle to crash, leaving the head constable seriously injured.
