Hathras rape case live updates: FIR against Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and 200 Congress workers in Noida

Taking suo motu cognisance of the death of a Dalit woman, who was allegedly gang-raped in Hathras district, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday. Hathras gang rape: Police forcibly took away body for cremation, says victim's brother

The family of the 19-year-old Dalit woman, who died in a Delhi hospital a fortnight after she was gang-raped here, alleged on Wednesday that the police were forcibly trying to get her body cremated in the middle of the night. Local police officers, however, told PTI that the cremation was being carried out “as per the wishes of the family”.
