NEW DELHI: Responding to allegations by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tewari that the AAP-led Delhi government had not taken up the issue of permanent jobs for guest teachers, AAP laid out letters and details of the recently concluded assembly session where the matter was discussed.
"Tewari is barely spending time in Delhi and has no idea about what is happening here.
He recently released a video in which he said Delhi government has done nothing for guest teachers and asked why we have not brought a resolution on it in the Assembly," said AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj.
"On August 8, 2017, MLA Sanjeev Jha moved a special calling attention motion on guest teachers. The House passed a resolution, asking for the most recent DSSSB circular on appointment of teachers to be put on hold," he said.
He further said that the deputy CM Manish Sisodia came to know about the circular denying weightage to guest teachers, when DSSSB took out an advertisement for permanent posts. "When asked why he had been kept out of the loop, Sisodia was told that the directions to do that were issued by the LG," Bharadwaj said.
