Four arrested with heroin worth 1 crore

Four persons, including three foreigners, were arrested in the capital allegedly with 1.1kg heroin worth around Rs 1.1 crore, with police claiming the accused arranged for prostitutes for tourists too.

NEW DELHI: Four persons, including three foreigners, were arrested in the capital allegedly with 1.1kg heroin worth around Rs 1.1 crore, with police claiming the accused arranged for prostitutes for tourists too. The cops are investigating allegations that the accused may have solicited sex from minors and there is a possibility that a rape case could be registered against the suspects.

The arrested have been identified as Chima Stainley Slux from Nigeria, Toryalay from Afghanistan , a woman Tamara from Uzbekistani and Abdul Mazid, who is from West Bengal’s Malda, K C Dwivedi, Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi), said.
The first to be arrested were Slux and Mazid, a driver, on September 16 while they were travelling in a radio taxi allegedly with 1.1 kg of heroin on Upper Ridge Road.
“They were found wearing supporting belts wrapped around the waist, which contained heroin packed in polythene bags. The recovered heroin is of a very fine quality trafficked from Afghanistan via Pakistan," Dwivedi said.
Their interrogation led to the arrest of other two suspects. Mazid confessed that he is a driver and used to ferry foreigners living in Lajpat Nagar, Amar Colony and Kalkaji. Through his job he came in contact with Toryalay and
Tamara, who were allegedly into drug peddling and also involved in supplying call-girls to foreigners at discotheques. Many a time, he accompanied Toryalay and Tamara to Amritsar to procure fine quality heroin, where the same was provided to them by Pakistani nationals Riyajuddin and Hazi Mohamamd.
