NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at a factory near the Moti Nagar police station in Delhi's Karampura on Sunday night.


The firefighting operations continued till Monday morning.


As many as 27 fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the flames.

"Fire broke out in Rama industrial area, opposite Karampura. We have controlled fire from spreading, efforts to douse fire completely under way. No casualties or injuries have been reported as of now," said Ashok K Jaiswal, divisional officer, Delhi Fire Service.

Earlier on Saturday, a fire broke out at the Punjab National bank (PNB) located in the Karol Bagh area of Delhi.

At least 16 fire engines reached the spot as soon as word of the fire was received, and eventually brought the fire under control.

No casualties were reported in the incident.
