Although the plan was to stop dumping of garbage at the site, due to the unavailability of land, a new plan was formulated to stabilise the slopes in a bid to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur.

Senior officials claimed the work for flattening of slopes will be completed within a year and if any land is allotted to EDMC, then work for developing a scientific landfill site will also be initiated.
