Deepali Chowk– Majlis Park stretch nears launch
The 9.9-km fully elevated Deepali Chowk–Majlis Park section of the upcoming Janakpuri West–R K Ashram Marg corridor is almost ready for operations. This key extension of the Magenta Line is set to strengthen connectivity between west and north Delhi.
Five new stations on the route
The stretch features five intermediate stations — Pitampura, Prashant Vihar, North Pitampura, Haiderpur Badli Mor and Bhalswa — improving metro access for densely populated neighbourhoods along the Outer Ring Road corridor.
Three major interchanges to ease travel
Commuters will benefit from seamless connectivity at three interchange stations: Red Line at Pitampura, Yellow Line at Haiderpur Badli Mor and Pink Line at Majlis Park, allowing smoother cross-city travel without long detours.
Relief for outer ring road traffic
The 8-km Deepali Chowk–Bhalswa stretch along Outer Ring Road is expected to ease congestion at major choke points such as Pitampura and Haiderpur Badli Mor/GT Karnal bypass by shifting commuters from private vehicles to metro.
Energy-efficient & sustainable design
The project integrates LED lighting and regenerative braking systems in rolling stock to conserve energy. These features align with Delhi Metro’s push toward environmentally sustainable and cost-efficient urban transport infrastructure.
Smart signalling & driverless capability
The corridor is equipped with communication-based train control (CBTC) signalling and unattended train operation capability. These advanced systems enhance operational efficiency, safety and train frequency management.
Inclusive & passenger-friendly stations
All stations come with lifts, escalators, automatic fare collection gates and platform screen doors. Tactile pathways, wheelchair-designated spaces and accessible designs ensure convenience for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
Phase IV & beyond: Metro network expands
The 29.3-km Janakpuri West–R K Ashram Marg corridor is part of Phase IV. With additional corridors under construction and new approvals under Phase V(A), Delhi Metro’s network expansion is set to reshape urban mobility across the capital.
