Shraddha Walkar Murder Case LIVE Updates: Polygraph test incomplete after Aaftab complained of fever; to continue again on Friday
The Polygraph test of Aaftab Amin Poonawala remained incomplete on Thursday after he complained of fever. Police will bring him back to FSL on Friday for the rest of the polygraph, said Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) PRO Sanjeev K Gupta. A collective team of experts will decide when narco test will be conducted. Stay with TOI for all updates:

Initial negligence, callous manner of probe may hurt case in court, say experts
The callous manner in which the investigation in the Shraddha Walkar murder case was handled initially by the cops of the Mehrauli police station may cause embarrassment for Delhi Police in court, seasoned investigators said. Many retired cops felt that a majority of the details should not have been released at this stage of investigation.

Police have also developed a 'rough site plan' from Aaftab's house, using which they mapped different places related to the case. Police divers have also reportedly recovered some bone pieces from the pond in Maidangarhi.

Any blood traces or DNA found on the bathroom tiles in Aaftab Poonawala’s rented flat in south Delhi will be matched with those of Shraddha's father and brother, whose samples have already been collected. A positive match will help the cops prove that Shraddha was murdered in the house.

Bathroom tiles may hold key to nailing accused
The bathroom tiles in Aaftab Poonawala’s rented flat in south Delhi may help the cops nail him for the alleged murder of his live-in partner, Shraddha Walkar. The forensics team is learnt to have recovered crucial bloodstains and spots that may prove key to the investigation. While the tiles had been cleaned, forensics recovered traces from the grouting that hadn’t been washed away completely. Sleuths from CBI's Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) are learnt to have broken and taken the pieces for detailed examination on Tuesday.

Aaftab set to undergo lie test today, narco exam to follow
Forensic officialson Tuesday conducted a range of preliminary tests, which are required before a polygraph examination, on Aaftab Poonawala. They will conduct a lie-detector examination on him on Wednesday as he was found fit to undergo the same. Sources said Aaftab’s blood pressure was monitored and he also underwent an electro cardiogram (ECG) to ascertain that he was mentally and physically ready for the lie-detector test.

Some more 'parts of the bones' of Walkar recovered from jungle: Police
The police told the court that some more "parts of the bones" of Walkar have been recovered from the jungle and a portion of the jaw too was found on November 20. It added that teams of CFSL and CBI had been called to the spot for inspection.The police submitted before the court that custodial interrogation was required to establish the "chain of events" in the alleged crime.
The investigating officer requested extension on the ground that "more parts of the body/bones and weapons can be recovered on the basis of disclosure of the accused."

Aaftab Poonawalla, accused of killing his partner Shraddha Walkar, told a Delhi court on Tuesday that it had all happened "in the heat of the moment", reports Vineet Upadhyay.
Legal aid counsel Abinash Kumar, who represented Aaftab, said metropolitan magistrate Aviral Shukla asked him: "Do you know what you have done?" Aaftab replied, "Whatever happened took place in the heat of the moment and nothing was deliberate".
Another legal aid counsel, Harshit Sagar, said: "He has not confessed the murder in court but is cooperating with police in investigations."
