Delhi: Corporations’ budget by additional commissioners

NEW DELHI: This year, the budget for North and South Delhi Municipal Corporations are likely to be presented by additional commissioners instead of commissioners, as SDMC commissioner Gyanesh Bharti — who also holds the additional charge of the north corporation — is infected with Covid-19.
Even the commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) Dilraj Kaur was infected last month.However, officials said that Kaur will be joining office on Monday and will most likely present the budget. The budget proposals for SDMC and north corporation are expected to be presented on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, while the EDMC budget will be tabled on Wednesday.
