Delhi: CBI chargesheet against 'baba'

NEW DELHI: CBI filed a chargesheet against controversial guru Virender Dev Dixit in the case of rape and criminal intimidation of a devotee. Dixit has been absconding since the registration of an FIR against him and is believed to be hiding in Nepal.

Dixit ran an "Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidhyalaya" in Vijay Vihar near Rohini. CBI had registered the case on January 3, 2018 on the orders of Delhi High Court, which had asked the agency to probe the case that had earlier been filed by Delhi Police. It was alleged that the accused raped a minor at two different ashrams in UP and Vijay Vihar, Delhi in May and June, 1999.
