NEW DELHI: Delhi Police arrested a cab driver after a 22-year-old student accused him of masturbating in the cab while she was a passenger. The accused was identified as Lom Shankar, aged 48.The incident occurred on Monday in North Delhi's Maurice Nagar area. The victim, a postgraduate student, had booked a cab to go to her campus. After she got in, she noticed the driver's behaviour change. The driver, Shankar, allegedly began making obscene gestures and comments.

According to the student, the situation escalated when he started masturbating in the cab. Despite the student raising an alarm, the driver didn't stop the car immediately. He eventually pulled over near the DU North Campus, at which point the student was able to get out of the cab and run away. She then contacted her friends and, with their support, went to the Maurice Nagar police station to file a formal complaint.
