Burglars strike at TMC MP Satabdi Roy's house in Lutyens’ Delhi

Burglars broke into the official residence of All India Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy at Pandara Road in Lutyens' Delhi and decamped with cash, foreign currency and jewellery.

NEW DELHI: Burglars broke into the official residence of All India Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy at Pandara Road in Lutyens’ Delhi and decamped with cash, foreign currency and jewellery.
The incident took place on Saturday night when Roy was not present in the house and the caretaker had gone to Haridwar, said a senior police officer.
Initial probe revealed that the criminals entered the house by breaking the metal grilles on the window.

The caretaker, who returned on Monday morning, found the almirah broken and items strewn around in the room.
A case of trespassing and burglary has been registered. The caretaker is being questioned for more details, said a cop.
