New Delhi: Security agencies launched search operations on Monday after multiple prominent institutions in the Capital — including the Delhi Secretariat, Delhi Assembly, Red Fort and two schools — received bomb threat emails.
The emails were sent around 8am to the official IDs of the Delhi Assembly and its Speaker. Similar threats reached the Delhi Secretariat, Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharti School on Lodhi Road.

The messages, allegedly sent in the name of the Khalistan National Army, carried the slogan "Delhi banega Khalistan" and warned of blasts at specific locations and times — claiming an explosion at the Army school at 1.11pm, the Vidhan Sabha at 3.11pm and the Red Fort at 9.11am. The emails also warned of possible explosions in the Delhi Metro network over the next three days.
Following the alerts, school authorities informed the police. As a precaution, students and staff were evacuated while search operations were initiated. Teams from Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, dog squads and Delhi Fire Service reached the locations and cordoned off the areas.
After extensive searches the threats were declared a hoax.
