Bina's properties raided in Goa

PANAJI: The posh bungalow of Bina Ramani, currently under Delhi Police's custody in the Jessica Lall murder case, and her daughter's boutique — located in the popular tourist stretch of Candolim in North Goa —were raided on Tuesday by members of special investigating team (SIT) and Goa Police.
Ramani was arrested in Goa last Wednesday, two days after a Delhi special court issued a non-bailable warrant against her in a cheating and forgery case related to procuring the ownership of the restaurant, Tamarind Court in Hauz Khas, where Jessica was allegedly murdered.Bina is also a key witness in the murder case.
A three-member SIT, headed by ACP M K Sharma, first raided Bina's house and then the boutique run by her daughter Malini.
The raids lasted around an hour each and were conducted in the presence of Bina, who was flown to Goa after an overnight stay in Mumbai.
DIG Ujjwal Mishra said, "The raid was conducted as per the requirement of the Delhi Police. We merely assisted them." He did not confirm whether the required documents were found and said that would be known to the Delhi Police team only.
