A special screening of Raag Desh for President Pranab Mukherjee

After its trailer launch at the Parliament House, Tigmanshu Dhulia's movie Raag Desh was screened for the President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at the auditorium in Rashtrapati Bhawan.

After its trailer launch at the Parliament House, Tigmanshu Dhulia's movie Raag Desh was screened for the President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at the auditorium in Rashtrapati Bhawan. The screening of the movie based on the Red Fort trials or Indian National Army (INA) trials was attended by the cast of the film including director Tigmanshu Dhulia, actors Kunal Kapoor and Mohit Marwaha and their families.

Among politicians who came for the screening was Sitaram Yechury.
The president and the vice president met the cast of the film before the screening began and watched the film for a few minutes. “The president and the vice president had to leave for other important engagement, but he told us that he was happy that movie on the INA trials was made and he is keen to watch the entire film. It’s a big encouragement for us that he wants to watch the complete film,” Tigmanshu told us at the screening.

For actors, attending the screening at Rashtrapati Bhawan was ‘the biggest honour.’ “The feeling hasn’t sunk in that I watched my own film at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and it was such an honour t o meet the p resident. You get such chances rarely in life,” said Mohit and Kunal added, “You feel a sense of pride the moment you enter this place. I was really excited for this day.”
Apart from Kunal Kapoor and Mohit Marwah, actor Kenny Basumatary, who has played the role of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the film, received a lot of appreciation from guests. “I think after this film, you will be the Subhash Chandra Bose in every film that will be made around Netaji,” a guest told Kenny.
