DEHRADUN: The state government is planning to set up four police stations dedicated solely to transport matters. The stations are likely to come up in Dehradun, Hariwdar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital, police sources said.
The rising number of traffic violations has likely prompted the government to take various measures. On Saturday, a day-long seminar on road safety was organized in a private school on Rajpur Road.

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, transport minister Yashpal Arya, chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh and DGP Anil Kumar Raturi attended the seminar and shared their experiences with students.
The CM also launched a website which will have contact numbers of prominent people along with traffic guidelines. The website will provide traffic updates to people and inform them about a jam. People can provide their feedback on the website and also upload photos of a road accident.
