Haridwar: Two criminals carrying a bounty of Rs 1 lakh each for their involvement in a murder were arrested by Haridwar Police on Monday. The accused were wanted by Punjab Police. According to police, the accused met in Roorkee jail, where they hatched the plan to murder a man who had registered a case of robbery against one of them. Police recovered a gun and bullets from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sukhvinder Singh alias Moni, a resident of Labour Colony, Dusmalla, Ludhiana, Punjab and Sumit alias Choti, a resident of Gagalhedi, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Haridwar SSP Senthil Abudai Krishna Raj S told TOI, “Both Sukhvinder and Sumit have criminal backgrounds and have several cases against them in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakand.”
