DEHRADUN: After bagging bronze in Swedish Open
Badminton Championship last week, Uttarkahand shuttler
Kuhoo Garg
clinched the
Iceland
International Badminton Tournament title in the mixed doubles category on Sunday.
Despite losing the first set 16-21,
Kuhoo
Garg and
Rohan Kapoor
won the next two sets 21-19, 21-18 against Danish pair of Kristoffer Knudsen and Isabella Nielsen. Kuhoo and Rohan had lost to the pair in the Swedish Open Badminton.

Uttarakhand
Badminton Association, said, “It is a proud moment for the country. Kuhoo and her partner defeated European players in all five rounds in the tournament.”
Another shuttler from Uttarakhand, Bodhit Joshi ,bagged a silver medal in the singles men category in the same tournament. He lost the finals to England’s Sam Parsons in straight sets 21-14, 21-17.
“Bodhit also performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament,” said Ashok Kumar.
