DEHRADUN: The weekend lockdown, imposed to contain the spread of Covid-19 across Uttarakhand around mid-July, is set to be back in Dehradun, the district administration said. During the two days, all non-essential shops will be closed and the city will be sanitised, reports Abhijeet Singh. Besides intensifying sanitisation activities, the move will also help in breaking the chain of the virus spread, officials said.
The weekend closure of shops was temporarily suspended during the festival season. The local administration will also keep a check on the compliance of norms at wedding venues.
