CS directs DMs to hold camp each Monday to listen to public grievances
DEHRADUN: Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh wrote a letter to all 13 district magistrates of Uttarakhand instructing them to hold camps on each Monday to hear the public grievances and solve at them at the earliest.
As per the instructions, the DMs will start the proceedings at 10am and listen to the public grievances till the end of working hours.
The letter mentions that good governance – which is among the top priorities for the state government - it was important that issues related to common man were solved at the Tehsil and district level.

However, the CS said that public grievances which should be solved at the block, tehsil and district levels, were being directed toward the state government which “was not right.”
Following which, the CS on Tuesday wrote a letter to the DMs with a “strong” message.
