BJP appoints poll in-charges for upcoming municipal elections in Uttarakhand
Dehradun: As part of its preparations for the upcoming civic polls in Uttarakhand, the BJP has appointed election in-charges for all 11 municipal corporations as well 45 municipalities and 46 municipal councils across the state.
The election in-charges for the municipal corporation polls include Kuldeep Kumar for Dehradun, Daan Singh Rawat for Rishikesh, Jyoti Prasad Gairola for Haridwar, Ram Mohan Agarwal for Roorkee, Rakesh Giri for Kotdwar, Ramesh Gadia for Srinagar, Govind Pilkhwal for Pithoragarh, Pradeep Bisht for Almora, Deepak Mehra for Rudrapur, Manoj Pal for Haldwani, and Tarun Bansal for Kashipur.
Leaders have also been assigned to oversee elections in the 45 municipalities and 46 municipal councils to ensure smooth coordination among party workers.
BJP state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said the appointments were made under the direction of state party chief Mahendra Bhatt.
The municipal elections are expected to take place later this month or in Jan.
