at 5 in the morning for a practice session. “For once I don’t have to keep calling out to him to wake up. He is so excited that he keeps practicing yoga even at home,” says Krishna, mother of the class VIII student of

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mussoorie

.
Sachin is one among 33 other students of the school selected to perform yoga with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) on October 27.
“The thought of not just seeing the PM in front of my eyes but also getting to do yoga with him is very exciting. I keep practicing every day to give it my best. I have also asked my parents to stay glued to TV that day,” says Sachin.
The feeling is no different for other students chosen for the big day. Ayush Rawat’s brown eyes lit up when asked about his preparations. “I told all my friends that I will do yoga with the PM. My mother has already washed my track suit,” says the beaming class VII student. Rawat’s father, who is a photographer, is as excited as his son.
The 45-minute yoga schedule will witness students performing tadasana, setubandh, nadi shodhana among other asanas.
Principal Deepak Kumar Dabral said, “Yoga is a regular activity in the school and it will be a moment of pride for us to see our students perform with the PM.”
The PM is scheduled to arrive in the hill town on Thursday afternoon and will stay at the LBSNAA premises that day. After a morning yoga session at LBSNAA lawns the next day, he is scheduled to address 387 probationers at the academy. Sources said that the PM is also scheduled to visit most departments of LBSNAA, including Balwari school.
Meanwhile, the area around the academy is being spruced up for the PM’s visit with buildings getting a fresh coat of paint and street lights being repaired.
