25-year-old dead in road accident, another in ICU

: A 25-year-old girl was killed in a road accident on Wednesday and her friend was left seriously injured after a dumper hit their Scooty near St Jude’s Chowk in the city.


According to police, the incident happened at 8:30pm. “The locals informed police that a dumper had hit a Scooty and that both the riders were seriously injured. After the police team reached the spot, both the victims were taken to Mahant Indresh hospital where one of the girls, Aishwarya, died. The other, Chandrabani, is in the ICU,” said Dehradun SSP Nivedita Kukreti. Both girls were residents of Sewala Kalan in Dehradun.

Kukreti also said that the driver of the dumper has been nabbed and the vehicle has been seized as well. “The driver, Nadeem Ahmed, is a resident of
