Youth detained under Goondas Act in Coimbatore
COIMBATORE: A youth, who was arrested for sexually harassing a boy in Coimbatore, has been detained under the Goondas Act. The Sulur police registered a case under the POCSO Act against Vasantha Kumar, 22, and arrested him recently for sexually harassing the schoolboy. Based on the recommendation of superintendent of police Dr K Karthikeyan, district collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar on Thursday issued ordered to detain him under the Goondas Act.
