Coimbatore: TVK chief coordinator KA Sengottaiyan on Sunday expressed confidence that his party would win all the 29 constituencies in the Kongu region in the upcoming assembly election.
Addressing a public meeting at Malumichampatti, Sengottaiyan said, "We will win in all the 29 constituencies in the Kongu region and submit the victory at the feet of our leader Vijay."

"Recently, the DMK conducted its women's wing conference and spent Rs 110 crore for the meeting. But the TVK did not spend even a single penny to organize its meetings," said Sengottaiyan.
TVK general secretary (election campaign management) Aadhav Arjuna accused AIADMK of becoming a slave to the BJP after the demise of its party supremo Jayalalithaa.
Meanwhile, the Salem city police on Sunday granted permission to TVK leader Vijay to hold his public meeting at Seelanaickkanpatty on Feb 13 between noon and 3pm. "We have granted permission for a total of 5,000 people to participate in the meeting," said a top police official.
Police have imposed strict conditions for the meeting, including that there should be no traffic congestion, causing inconvenience to the public. They have also imposed a condition that pregnant women and children should not be allowed to participate in the meeting for safety reasons.
