Tributes paid to Annadurai

Coimbatore: DMK and AIADMK men vied with each other to pay tributes to late chief minister C N Annadurai on his memorial day on Monday.

The two parties took out separate processions in the city and paid floral tributes to the late Dravidian stalwart. The AIADMK men led by urban district secretary P R G Arunkumar started the silent march from the party office in Huzur Road towards the Anna Statue on Avinashi Road.

DMK cadres started a procession led by Singanallur MLA N Karthik from V K K Menon Road in Sidhaputhur. Carrying placards bearing the popular quotes of Annadurai, they marched to the Anna Statue in Gandhipuram to mark the 51th memorial day of the leader. TNN
