Ooty Literary Fest: Curtains to go up on September 13

Udhagamandalam: The hill retreat is all set to play host to the fourth edition of the literary festival, the curtain on which would go up in the Nilgiri Library in Ooty on Friday (September 13).

The two-day Ooty Literary Festival would feature known writers such as Jerry Pinto, C S Lakshmi (Ambai), Aroon Raman, Kanakalatha Mukund and Madhvi Menon.

Geetha Srinivasan, trustee, Ooty Literary Festival committee, said, “We are happy to host the fourth literary festival in the heritage building of Nilgiri Library in Ooty on September 13 and 14.”

Eminent Carnatic musician Nithyasree Mahadevan will perform on the first day of the event. On offer would be the favourites of her grandmother D K Pattammal, a legendary Carnatic musician.

The organizing committee of Ooty Literary Festival comprises Jerry Pinto (advisor), Yash Muthanna (managing trustee), Geetha Srinivasan and Gerard Pinto (trustees), and Preetam Dambekodi (convener).
